
Estate & Financial Planning Intern
RJP Estate Planning is seeking a motivated and curious Estate / Financial Planning Intern interested in building a foundation in estate planning, financial services, and client-facing sales processes.
About This Role
As an intern, you will shadow experienced professionals, participate in client meetings, and gain hands-on experience with estate planning concepts, financial products, and consultative sales strategies. You will learn how RJP supports clients through every step of the estate planning process while developing professional communication and organizational skills. This role is ideal for someone exploring a long-term career in financial planning, estate planning, or financial services.
Responsibilities
- Shadow financial and estate planning professionals during client meetings and consultations
- Communicate with current and prospective clients throughout their engagement with RJP
- Learn RJP’s sales process, including how estate planning documents are presented and explained
- Assist with preparing and organizing client paperwork and next-step documentation
- Utilize RJP’s CRM system to update client information and track progress through the planning process
- Attend seminars throughout the Valley to learn RJP’s seminar model, client education approach, and follow-up process
- Gradually conduct portions of client meetings, including walking clients through next steps in the estate planning process, under supervision
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in, or recently completed, a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
- Interest in estate planning, financial planning, or financial services
- Prior experience in financial or estate planning is preferred but not required
- Previous internship or customer-facing experience is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with a diverse range of clients
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Comfortable learning new systems and processes
