What Every Seminar Covers

Each session is a relaxed, plain-language conversation. You will walk away with a clear picture of where your estate plan stands and what to do next.

How to Protect Your Assets

Find out how a properly funded trust shields your assets from probate, creditors, and unintended heirs. The goal is simple: keep your family out of court.

Wills vs. Living Trusts

Most people assume a will keeps them out of probate. It does not. We break down the real differences between wills and trusts so you know which one actually protects your family.

Avoiding Probate in Arizona

See what probate actually costs in time, money, and privacy. Then learn the straightforward steps to bypass it entirely for your loved ones.

Protecting Your Children's Inheritance

You worked hard for what you have. We show you how to make sure it actually reaches your children and stays protected from divorce, creditors, and lawsuits.

Essential Estate Documents

Trusts, wills, powers of attorney, healthcare directives. We explain what each one does, why it matters, and how they work together. No legal jargon, just plain English.

Common Planning Mistakes

Putting property directly in your children's names, skipping beneficiary updates, relying on a will alone. These mistakes cost families real money. We walk you through each one so you can avoid them.

How It Works

From Workshop to Finished Plan

Here is what the process looks like from start to finish. Most clients have their completed estate plan in hand within about five weeks.

1

Attend a Free Seminar

You get the same education that clients receive in a private consultation. Ninety minutes, no preparation needed. If you like what you hear, our team can set up a one-on-one appointment before you leave. Seminar attendees get a discounted rate. No pressure either way.

2

Design Your Plan

You sit down with an experienced estate planning attorney, in person at our Scottsdale or Tucson office, or virtually. Together you walk through your family's situation, your goals, and exactly what your plan needs to cover.

3

Signing and Delivery

We draft your complete estate plan and prepare everything for a final signing appointment. You review each document, sign with a notary present, and walk out with your finished plan in hand. Done right, done once.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before attending one of our free estate planning events.

Each seminar covers the essentials of wills and trusts, how to avoid probate in Arizona, asset protection strategies, powers of attorney, medical directives, and how to protect your children's inheritance. You will also learn common estate planning mistakes and how to avoid them.

Yes. Every seminar and workshop is completely free to attend with no cost and no obligation. Our goal is to educate Arizona families about their options before they make any decisions.

Each session runs approximately 90 minutes. That includes the presentation, a Q&A period, and time to speak with our team individually if you choose.

Just bring yourself and any questions you have. If you have a spouse or partner, we encourage them to attend with you since estate planning decisions affect the whole family. No paperwork or preparation is needed.

We hold seminars and workshops across Arizona including Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Peoria, Surprise, Glendale, Tucson, Goodyear, Sierra Vista, Green Valley, and other cities. Each event is hosted at a local restaurant or venue near you.

We use both terms to describe the same event. Whether you see it called an estate planning seminar, a living trust workshop, or a wills and trusts class, the content and format are identical: a free 90-minute educational session with no cost and no obligation.

We do not offer webinars at this time. Our in-person seminars give you face-to-face access to experienced estate planning counsel, the chance to ask questions in real time, and a relaxed setting where you can take your time. Most attendees tell us the personal interaction is the most valuable part of the experience.

Our seminars are led by estate planning attorney Clint Smith, who has been practicing law in Arizona since 1985, and senior planning consultant Lenny Trujillo. Both have helped thousands of Arizona families protect what matters most.

Absolutely not. There is no pressure to purchase or commit to anything. Many attendees come simply to learn. If you decide you want to take the next step, our team is available to schedule a consultation at a discounted rate exclusively for seminar attendees.

Why It Matters

What Probate Costs Arizona Families

Without a trust, your estate goes through Arizona probate court. Here is what that looks like for the people you leave behind.

3 to 6%
of estate value

Attorney and court fees during Arizona probate typically run 3 to 6 percent of the total estate. For a $500,000 estate, that is $15,000 to $30,000 your family pays out of pocket.

6 to 18 months
average duration

Arizona probate takes six months to a year and a half to complete. During that time, your family cannot sell property, access accounts, or settle your affairs without court approval.

100% public
court record

Every probate filing in Arizona becomes a public record. Your assets, debts, beneficiaries, and family disagreements are all visible to anyone who searches the court docket.

A properly funded living trust avoids probate entirely. Learn how at a free seminar.
